This is great for talking points with people how things have changed and how consent is to be talked about.

The new Netflix film Sierra Burgess is a Loser has a scene where a the main character kisses a guy, but he thinks he's kissing someone else... I found that creepy.

My favorite thing about this is that this woman is a lawyer, this is her job, she went to years and years of school to be an expert about this subject and yet....you still have people in the comments saying she's wrong. Its like if you're just some random person and you went to a video of a surgeon doing a surgery and you're like "no, he shouldn't have cut there. I think that was wrong." lmfao

How is it hard to understand that forcing people to do stuff they don't want to it's not love or something romantic? Forcing someone to kiss, touch, or have sex is not "romantic", is not funny, is not that the other person is "playing hard to get", if the person is not completely ok with what you're doing, then it's not ok for you to do it. Consent is the most romantic thing, guys.

It really is scary to go back and watch all these older movies and see just how horrifying they are. They really do glorify sexual assault, mostly against women.

In the criminal justice system, sexually based offenses are considered especially heinous. In New York City, the dedicated detectives who investigate these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims Unit. These are their stories..... *DUN DUN*

I am surprised 50 Shades didn't make an appearance. They had alot of questionable scenes in there. They tried to wrap it in BDSM, except 50 Shades isn't BDSM at all. Edit: Spelling mistake was edited.

That James Bond Skyfall shower scene is problematic...in fact, most of Bond's encounters with women are incredibly problematic. No wonder we've been living in a world where so many think "no" means "I'm playing hard to get".

Stop saying “stop being so sensitive.” This is the law of the land, and a lawyer is just applying the law to these scenarios.

I'm actually really glad to see this video. Revenge of the Nerds has always made me extremely uncomfortable, in large part because of the scene featured here. I'd love to see her going through 50 Shades of Gray (assuming she knows enough about actual BDSM relationships and culture to know that 50SoG ain't it).

Consent isn't hard, folks. The only reason you've got not to ask permission to do something with someone, is because you're afraid they'll say "no". Also: Twilight was written by a sociopath.

The most important thing to keep in mind here is how these movies encourage this behavior in real life. If it looks ok and funny here a person may think it’s ok and funny to behave the same way in real life. Sorry to repeat myself but think about it.

I know Buzzfeed is a very liberal extremist- company (which is why I do not watch them anymore), so a lot of their videos may seem so. This video, however, cannot be argued with because it is the law and just plain common sense. I think people who get annoyed of them aren’t thinking about how this video is fact based, not opinion based.

There's a real problem with men thinking if a woman is drunk and consents then it's fine, but you're just taking advantage of a woman while she's intoxicated because it's "easier to get her to consent"

when i was younger i assumed that the geek and her didn't hook up and they both just thought they did. now thinking about it, of course she would know whether or not they had sex because she would be able to feel it. but also the geek was intoxicated an doesn't remember either, which doesn't make it okay but still. also i assume he was 14 or 15 and i think the girl was 18 sooooo. that would be a tough case.

THIS WAS AWESOME. thank you so much! this is an incredibly IMPORTANT discussion that needs to be had. the metoo movement and the timesup movement have happened, but PEOPLE ARE STILL CONFUSED, BOTH SEXES. unfortunately, stunningly, and unbelievably, after everything we've seen go down under such a public lens, we STILL don't have any clear guidelines and training (other than the law that no kids are looking at) to address these dangerous situations! we have men/ women and boys/ girls who don't know what to do after being victimized, and we have men/ women and boys/ girls who don't understand that their actions can lead to prosecution! it's crazy! but this video is a great step in the right direction, i hope more people address this in a straight-forward way with very clear examples. this society needs this, right now!

I can explain...(about the unreported sexual assault cases..)  It's a compilation of the aftereffects of a Damaged Male due to Female abuse (physical, mental, emotional) or assault or similar.  The man ends up in some sort of therapy which is recorded and later a consensus is gathered based on frequency of visits and male/female ratios going to therapy for these issues, and yes, most men not reporting these things sometimes due to negligence, but mainly due to lack of resources and authorities/"help" not believing the male.   .. they at first were either in denial over or just couldn't find help (males do not have the same resources for "help" as women do)
